I WAS VERY INTERESTED in the article referring to the Antrim Princess incident in December 1983 in the May 2019 issue of Sea Breezes.
My cousin and his wife were passengers on the Princess on that voyage. His wife was lifted off the ship by helicopter, but a rocket line fired from one of the rescue ships to another, fouled the helicopter rotor which then made a forced landing. As only women, children and disabled were taken off, my cousin saw what was happening to the chopper and his mind went back to January 1953 and the Princess Victoria disaster. This time, he thought that he was going to lose his wife. On that day in 1953, he lost two brothers who had been passengers on that ill-fated vessel.
