As usual, Sea Breezes is always welcome, more so when I find an article on the older type ships that I sailed on.
In the March 2019 issue, an article showed a photo of MV Hartington, Harrisons of London. The piece was written by Brian O’Neil of Newcastle Upon Tyne. I was on the Hartington at the same time as Brian. I was a JOS & flew home from Hong Kong as he did.
I wonder if Brian remembers on the flight, the Air Hostess asking one of the crew if they would ask the young man with the Mohican haircut if she could get anything for him – to be answered he speaks English Miss.
Well Brian, at 76 years, I still remember my haircut as the flight home and sale of ship came out of the blue.
